Frans A. Vossenberg, M.D., FACC
Dr. Vossenberg is board certified in internal medicine cardiology and interventional cardiology. He has been in practice in Fredericksburg since 1990. His medical practice is specific to consultative cardiology, cardiac catherization, coronary angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, cardiac CT angiography and clinical research. He is founder and President of Virginia Cardiovascular Consultants.

Thomas E Martyak, M.D., FACC
Dr. Martyak specializes in consultative and interventional cardiology including cardiac catheterization, coronary and peripheral vascular intervention, pacemaker implantation and clinical research. Dr. Martyak is the Director of the Cardiac Catherization Lab at Mary Washington Hospital.

Robert B. Vranian, M.D., FACC
Dr. Vranian specializes in consultative cardiology with special interest in disease prevention, cardiac risk factor modification, cholesterol disorders, hypertension and congestive heart failure. He is active in medical education and clinical research. He has cared for patients in the Fredericksburg area for over 25 years.

Thomas Wheeler, M.D., FACC
Dr. Wheeler specializes in consultative and interventional cardiology with particular emphasis in cardiac catheterization, coronary intervention, pacemaker implantation, and transesophageal echocardiography and cardiac CT angiography. He has cared for patients in the Fredericksburg area for over 25 years.

S. Henry F. Clemo, M.D., FACC
Dr. Clemo is a board-certified clinical cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and management of abnormal heart rhythms. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Virginia and completed internal medicine, cardiology, and cardiac electrophysiology at the Medical College of Virginia. He was an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Section at the Virginia Commonwealth University Heart Center in Richmond. He will continue a collaborative affiliation at the VCU Heart Center.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Askew, M.D.
Dr. Askew received his M.D. degree from Georgetown University in 1995. He was trained in Internal medicine at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. He is board certified in Internal medicine and served as chief of Internal medicine at Wright-Patterson AFB until 2002. He was trained in invasive and non-invasive cardiology at The University of Cincinnati, completing training in June, 2006. His areas of interest and expertise include cardiac nuclear stress testing, congestive and valvular heart disease.

Harish Chandra, MD, MPH, FACC
Dr. Chandra specializes in the diagnosis and management of Cardiac and Vascular Diseases. His areas of special interest include Coronary, Peripheral Vascular and Carotid intervention. He brings new services to our area including minimally invasive treatment for certain congenital heart conditions like Atrial Septal Defects and Patent Foramen Ovale (ASD/PFO). With his background in Public Health he continues to contribute significantly in the field of Preventive Cardiology and clinical research. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine.

Douglas Moore, DO
Dr. Moore completed his Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia in 2004. He specializes in diagnosing and management of cardiac arrhythmias. He implants cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators, including pacing devices for congestive heart failure. He also performs cardiac ablations- a catheter based procedure to eliminate abnormal heart rhythms. Dr. Moore was in private practice in Toledo, Ohio for three years prior to joining Virginia Cardiovascular Consultants.

Liv Laren Alderman, RN, BSN, MSN, C-ANP
Liv is a board certified adult nurse practitioner. She received her Master’s degree in nursing from George Mason University in collaboration with the George Washington School of Medicine in May 2000. Prior to joining VCC, Liv worked for several years in primary care medicine.

Karen G. Crawford, PA-C
Karen is nationally board certified as a physician assistant. She has received degrees from James Madison University and the Medical College of Georgia. She has been working in cardiology and electrophysiology since 1996. Karen is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, The Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants and the Heart Rhythm Society. She participates in the care of patients in the office and the hospital assisting Dr. Henry Clemo.
